"Thank you very much. That is excellent service in a time when customer service is non existent in most companies. I will look forward to doing more business with you in the future"

Works Great on 700wx
User: Rick Cuevas, Dec 3, 2007
Pros:
uses sd slot for power
Cons:
none yet
Just got this today. So far its great! Sitting inside my concrete office building its communicating with 3 satellites. Poor instructions. However generic microsoft gps instructions off google for 700wx work just fine.
This does work for the 700p (with some SW help)
User: K L, Jul 27, 2007
Pros:
Very handy!
Cons:
For the 700p, needs a power control app.
I just wanted to report back that when originally offered, this was advertised for the 700p. The makers had apparently never physically tested it.
Turns out, the BT communications and the SD functions are completely compatible, if you have an application that overcomes the automatic SD slot power-off of the Palm software.
Conklin Systems (www.conklinsystems.com) has provided just such an application at a very reasonable price ($8.95 at time of writing). It is a simple switch to maintain power to the SD slot, until you manually turn it off.
Ive used this with the SDG-812 for a while now, and Im amazed at how power thrifty the SD slot and SDG-812 are, even when left on for extended periods.
I want you to know that while I was a more than willing participant in beta testing the the Conklin app, I do not (and have/will not) receive anything from either Conklin or Spectec. You see, I had already purchased the SDG-812 before finding out about the power problem, and Conklin came to the rescue ... so Im just grateful.

Works with a Treo 700wx
User: David Patterson, Jan 24, 2008
Pros:
Works great in buildings and cars.
Cons:
Manual is usless. GPS case is easy to break.
This GPS works great in a Treo 700WX. It is small and fits the profile of the Treo well. The biggest problem I had was setting it up for the first time. The manual is no help at all. I used it for two months until I put the Treo in my pocket and broke the case of the GPS.
I own the 700W and could not get the unit to work.

Size
Cons:
Instructions and support
I own the Treo 700p and could not get the unit to respond. The instructions are based on an HP unit and there is no support available on-line or by phone. The contact numbers are all located in Taiwan. This looks like a promising product however the instructions and support is awful.
