This case is perfect if you need a super heavy duty case. No water protection but I think it would be hard to see how else you could break your phone with this case on it. The only way is if your phone falls on an object that protudes and happens to pierce the screen.
That said the clip is the styrene Chinese cheap variety but will work. Like most cases with these it makes the phone stick out an extra 3/4" out from your waist. Being a guy who wears a suit once in a while it hangs out to far and creates an odd bulge even when my jacket is unbuttoned.
Drop this thing anywhere and watch out though as it will dent your car, floors and furniture unless it falls on the rubber bottom. I have added some rubber tape to the top and this has helped. Some people say the signal drops in remote areas with this case. I havent seen this yet. I do worry that the metal will focus the energy more toward the user. I use a headset so this is not a worry for me.
If you are in construction or farming this is the case for you. It makes your phone a great heavy object to throw at somebody too if you get mad.

I really like the toughness of this case. Looks well made. It seems to protect everything but the screen and keyboard. My only complaint with the case is that I tend to lose my signal in certain places around my house. I do live in a remote area but the phone works just fine with the case off.

Design flaw cut-out screen.
Smartphone protection is critical:by virtue of their cost and complexity. And the most vulnerable area of any smartphone is the screen. If the screen doesnt work the phones done...
The case is built well and offers classic hard-case protection but theres no screen cover and the screen is just as vulnerable as if you had no case at all. Seems to defeat the purpose of buying a hard case in the first place.
Its like wearing a helmet with the faceguard ripped off slim protection on front impacts. I sent it back the same day...
If you dont mind the screen being exposed and unprotected this is the case for you.

makes phone roam, kills signal, really crappy clip
Case fits the phone great, its heavy duty, nice looking and great price.
However, it kills the signal and causes my phone to roam, and sometimes has no signal at all. Phone works fine when removed from the case.
The swivel clip the case comes with is the worst I have ever seen or used period.
