well built & functions as advertised
User: Neil Oakden, Jun 26, 2007
Pros: construction, ability to dock in case, sync & charge w/ USB
Cons: can be tricky to align connector w/ bottom of phone
Worth the extra $$ - solid construction and synch and charge through the USB. It's an invaluable addition to my desktop. Power light on the cradle lets you know it is connected and ready to charge. No charging light to indicate phone is charging or ready, but if you have the LED on your phone enabled this is not an issue.

If you keep your phone in a case with access to the multi-connector on the bottom of the phone this is the cradle for you. My 650 in a Krussel case works great.

Only complaint is lining up the connector can be a bit tricky, but this is due to the clearance for the case. VERY minor gripe.

Overall the best desktop charger I've owned.
Good charger
User: Neil R, Apr 25, 2007
Pros: Can charge 700p with skin case on
Cons: Have to be careful that your alligning treo with charger contact
So far so good. Sync cords and cord for a/c jack need to be longer. Also, you need to be careful when putting treo on unit so that the contacts align properly.
I would order another one for the office.
Versatile cradle
User: Barry Sharpnack, Apr 27, 2007
Pros: holds Treos with skin case on, small, looks good, tilts
Cons: Cant turn of LED, AC adapter not included (xtra charge)
I really like this Innodock JR., even better than Seidio's original Innodock. The only difference is that this JR. model does not have an audio out (which I never used anyway).
Great features: it holds a treo with a skin case or crystal case on it, so it can be synched w/out removing from the case.
Once the Treo is in the cradle, it tilts back at a nice angle that is very easy on the eyes when placed on a desk. And, its round and small and takes very little desk space.
And I have never had a problem with its functionality: always charges and syncs perfectly.
Now, the bad...
This only comes with a USB cable, NOT a A/C line, so if you want to use it as a wall charger, you have to pay extra for their A/C adapter. (Several cradles come with an A/C adapter and wall plug, but this one does not).
My only other gripe is that sometimes I like to use it on my nightstand (I use my Treo as an alarm clock each morning). That green LED is just TOO bright! I ended up putting a small square of electrical tape over the LED and that solved the problem. It'd be nice to be able to turn off the LED though.
Overall, a very good functioning and looking cradle.
...I highly recommend this, but keep in mind that an A/C adapter will cost extra $.
Dissapointed with longevity
User: Gary Wells, Oct 22, 2007
Pros: Nice to have charger via USB
Cons: Could not get sync button to work, intermittent connector
I could never get the sync button to do a sync. A sync sound was made but Activesync wouldnt recognize it. After a while the cradle connector wiring inside became intermittent and would not maintain a syncd connection. Too frustrating to have to move my 700wx forward and backward to find the sweet spot. Just ordered the Palm cradle kit to replace this unit.
Great except it won't charge
User: Kingsley Ross, Dec 6, 2006
Pros: flexible
Cons: won't charge
This is a really great cradle capable of working with Treo's fitted with skins and other cases. The only negative is it won't charge when the phone is turned on and the screen is lit. The red led and the charging symbol appears on the screen of the Treo but the Treo battery continues to be drained. Seidio's response to a TA inquiry was turn off the phone and screen or buy a special charging accessary that costs an additional $10. I tried it with several USB ports and a USB power booster but nothing else worked to solve the problem. The charging device can be purchased on their site.
Great case, poor poor poor customer service
User: sanjay s, Jul 18, 2007
Pros: charges as expected
Cons: connections are NOT guaranteed, does NOT charge second battery
I called customer support at Seidio, should have known better, I guess. Ive never gotten hold of their RMA person, apparently, she is permanently out to lunch.

I bought this thing because I had bought a larger case that was a pain to remove, this charger/cradle said you could charge larger (fatter) cased units (also because I had the 3200MaH battery which increased the back case which didnt allow it to fit in "normal" charger). I called customer service and ASKED POINT BLANK two separate people on two separate calls if the charger ALSO CHARGED A SPARE BATTERY:

"Sure it does, no problem."

Yet imagine my surprise when I get it that it not only doesnt charge a spare battery, it sometimes just drops connection for no reason whatsoever.

The idea of a headphone or AUX jack (never did figure out what that does) is I guess okay, but honestly, its not my MP3 player, its my phone/PDA. I know everything in the world has to "be" like an ipod, but how about we try to keep some perspective here.

The charger is fine, sits right next to my Palm charger which DOES charge my spare battery. Funny, I was buying the Seidio charger specifically to get rid of the other charger.
Garbage!!!
User: Carlos torres, Aug 9, 2007
Pros: Drains the battery, tricky to charge
Cons: Small, best looking cradle
The cradle looks very nice, but dont be fooled, a cradle is suppose to charge your battery, not drain it. well thats what this cradle did when ever I would put my phone on it to charge, all it would do was drain the battery instead of charging it. Correct me if I am wrong but isnt a chager suppose to CHARGE!!!! Also to connect it was a bit tricky to allign all the pins so it ould fall in place to connect and charge.
No sir, its crap
User: G S, Sep 12, 2007
Pros: Looks nice
Cons: Doesnt work very often
Some serious problems with this dock. When it works its great. But unfortunately that isnt too often. If your computer doesnt state "Unrecognised USB Device" then it just doesnt show up at all.

The only thing that consistently works is the USB charging.

Seidio offered their standard answers such as "Unplug dock, plug in Palm sync cable, sync, then plug dock back into same port". Does this make a lot of sense? No, it doesnt.

If I didnt have their big battery, Id go back to my SmartPhone dock. It worked 100 of the time.
unreliable
User: H C, Aug 31, 2008
Pros: external build quality
Cons: many, see below
it looks and feels nice. however, mine stopped working after a few days. Windows stopped recognizing it ("unrecognized USB device error"). it couldnt sync. it even stopped charging altogether, even with the screen off. originally, with the screen on, it charged very weakly, so that the battery drained slower than it would without plugging it in.

even when working, there is no way to plug in audio to listen to the device with headphones while in the cradle, unless you have bluetooth headphones. there is no audio connection into or out of the cradle. the device physically obstructs plugging in an audio cable directly from the Treo when docked. this sucks if you are planning to use it in a train, plane, coffee shop, library, or just about anywhere else but a quiet, private room.

i bought this device from Seidio, based on being a long-time satisfied user of their Treo holsters. based on what i am now reading on their electronic equipment, i would not buy Seidio products again.
Not long lived
User: Richard Mailman, Jan 5, 2009
Pros: Synchs and charges
Cons: Lousy warranty, didnt last very long.
I guess I expected something that had few moving parts to last forever - mine stopped working (connection issues) and I found out the warranty wasnt even a year. Another brand my wife got has worked fine for 2 yr +.
Rarely Works
User: Ric Van Dyke, Jun 21, 2009
Pros: Looks good
Cons: Doesnt work consistently
I got one of these nearly a year ago. It has progressively gotten worse over time. My palm has to be seating into the unit "just right" (which seems to be slightly differently from one use to the next) to get the Hotsync to work. But at least it would charge my palm, now that doesnt even work. My computer shows "unrecognized USB device" when ever I try to use it, and now it doesnt even change my palm. I hope you have better luck with it if you get one, for me Im back to the reliable cable.
