Yes, my Treo earphone jack did break after 6 months of use. I purchased this adapter with some reservations because of the earlier review. However, I plugged it in and it worked the first time. My concerns are will this jack break with continued use and the wire between the connector and earphone jack is very small and may wear out. Nevertheless, it is great to be able to listen to my audiobook downloads and music again on my Treo.

I ordered this prior to reading the other review and was quite nervous for it to show up after reading the review. Thought it didnt work for a second and turned treo off, connected headphone audio adapter, turned treo back on, clicked a movie in TCPMP and works PERFECT.

so, does your headset jack HAVE to be shot to use this? because I bought it figuring it would be the best alternative to plug headphones into my Treo, and it doesn't work...period. the sound still comes out of my handset. time to read up on TreoCentral's return policy.
