Better replacement stylus than OEM
User: Jay L, Mar 6, 2008
Pros: Metal, Pen included, extra caps included, lightweight
Cons: None
My 3 pack came with 3ea 2-n-1 stylis, plus 3ea extra pen caps just in case I lose them. I always like the metal stylus using a touch screen since I have big fingers. I usually bend or flex the OEM plastic Centro stylus when I would use it. Having a metal stylus felt more firm in my grip compared to using a plastic stylus. The pen is an added plus on occasions when a pen is needed. The ink is black for those who are curious and lightweight.
Good stylus but poor pen quality
User: Jim Bowdren, Jul 31, 2008
Pros: Works well as a stylus
Cons: Ink did not last
The stylus is stiffer and therefore better than the original Centro stylus, but the ink ran out with very little use. Considering the price this should not happen. It never happened with my Treo 650 Seidio styli.

Although the cap is a slip on it seems to stay put (in use for 6 months). If it did come off it would be easy to retrieve the shaft portion by removing the back of the Centro.
Questionable design.
User: Jeff S, Mar 25, 2008
Pros: Stiffer than stock stylus. Pen.
Cons: End cap might wear out.
I only give this pen-stylus a 3 star rating for the time being. Time will tell if the rating should be higher or lower. I dont like the Seidio Centro design compared to Palm pen-styli that I used with my 650. The 650 pen-styli pen-tip faced down into the phone. When you carried the phone in your pocket, the ink always flowed down towards the tip ensuring a working pen. The Centro design pen-tip faces upward. Unless the cartridge is a pressurized one, I imagine the ink will intermittently flow or cease to flow. The 650 pen-styli also had a screw-off tip-cap which worked well. The Seidio Centro pen-stylus has a pen-tip cap that doubles as the pull-tab that nests in the stylus slot. It is an interference fit onto the pen-tip. I can envision at some point the plastic cap will stretch and no longer secure itself to the pen. In which case, the pen-stylus may wind up getting stuck in your phone while you wind up with the cap in your finger tips. Bottom line: the old Palm pen-stylus for the 650 was a good design. This new Seidio design for the Centro seems to have some design flaws. Only time will tell. I may have to adjust my rating at some point in the future.
