Seidio 2 in 1 review
User: Michelle Wallace, Jul 28, 2007
Pros:
Retractability
Cons:
Bulky, poor wiring, too fragile
I purchased these headphones in Feb. 07 and didnt really begin using them much until June 07. It is now August 07 and they already dont work. Out of the blue one day, they went from playing mono to (within a week) playing no sound at all.
Speaking on your phone using the mic is awkward and you have to practically yell and the retractable cord is more a nuance than being helpful. I am really disappointed in the quality of this product for the price I paid.
Works Well ....for a while

Pros:
Good sound, good price, goes anywhere
Cons:
Wire comes out from ear piece, needs redesign
Here is an email I sent for recommended changes to the device that some up the issues. I have used it for about 6 months now
"After using this headset, and going through a couple of them, I would like to make a few recommendations on this product
1. The cable that goes into the left earpiece needs to be attached better in the earpiece. The weight of the wire pulling down causes the cable to break in the headset. I have had to open it up a few times to re solder the wires. I placed a big knot inside the earpiece, to stop the pulling, but it came out a few times.
2. The clip that attaches the wire to your shirt is very cheap. It broke twice and that is why I had problems with number one.
3. The wire where the earpiece folds gets cut by a metal piece at the henge.
4. Should make one without the retractable wire. Less chances to break. Good idea but more problems then it is worth.
5. Volume switch is flaky. "
Not durabable
User: Ross DeValois, Jan 26, 2007
Pros:
Ok sound, comfortable.
Cons:
Poor wiring system, fragile
Audio quality for phone was good, ok for music. Ambient sound can be heard with low to moderate music volume which is nice when in public. Started to short out after 2nd time I used them. Hinge system abraided the wiring. I then rewired the headset with good results, but the plastic that goes over the ears broke shortly after.
Summary: Poor durability, ok sound. Needs to be pampered.
junk
User: Taiwo Ogunjobi, Jul 1, 2007
Pros:
looked great initially
Cons:
breaks!!!
. . . typical of my experiences with the 3 Siedio products i have purchased to date. Underlying the poor craftmanship is its poor design and manufacture. Non-durable. It breaks quite easily, and Siedios limited warranty is deceptively modeled to leave you with a dead product after 1 replacement. Also, the voice clarity has recently faded. Find quality elsewhere.
Always breaking

I've had a few pair of these. They keep snapping in 2, and I never put a lot of pressure on them. The retractable reel also breaks after a short time.
