The best BT headset is also the smallest!
User: Matt Muelver, Dec 27, 2006
Pros: Teeny-Tiny size and weight, great sound
Cons: "light" fit allows it to fall out with too much activity
I love my WEP-200. I used it with my Treo 650 and I use it now with my 700p. I've tried half a dozen BlueTooth headsets and this is the best one by far. I upgraded from my Palm Treo branded headset and I don't regret it! The WEP-200 is so small and light that it is discreet and comfortable for long periods of use. The only issue I've had with mine is that it will work itself loose over time, especially with heavy activity or if I wear it while eating (the chewing action works it out of my ear). A quick adjustment fixes this though, or I sometimes take it off and put it in my shirt pocket if I don't expect to be on a phone call for a while (if I have a shirt pocket). I recently had trouble with my original WEP-200 and Samsung's customer service unexpectedly replaced it with a brand new one! They weren't too quick about it, but they did come through with a brand new headset for me!
Best Bluetooth Headset That I Have Used
User: Vincent Del Vecchio, May 11, 2007
Pros: Excellent sound quality, comfort, features, and looks.
Cons: Only decent battery life. May not fit in everyone's ear.
The Samsung WEP-200 is one of the best headsets I have ever used. It ranks right up there with the Motorola HS-700; perhaps a little better. This headset has excellent Bluetooth 2.0 quality and functionality. It is small but performs big. Sound quality on all volume levels is fantastic. It is very discreet and very easy to operate. It connects immediately and without any echo and/or background fuzz/noise.

The only two cons about this headset could be the good but not great battery life and that some people might have problems with fitting in their ears.

This headset is definitely worth trying out. If you do not encounter the two problems I listed, then it may very well be one of the best headsets you will ever buy. If you do have any of the problems I listed, Treocentral store offers a quick and excellent return policy and turnaround time.

Everyone should give this headset a try. I've bought these as gifts for six people and they all love theirs!
4 Star Clarity. 2 Star on Fit
User: Craig McDonald, Jun 26, 2007
Pros: Best clear bluetooth I've had (This is my 8th different headset)
Cons: Will work itself out of my ear
I have had 8 different headsets including the expensive Plantronics 645. In Comparison, this has had the best clarity over all. Since it's in my ear, I can hear people well. What amazed me was while driving convertible with top down, windows up, I had a decent conversation. Not many headsets have done that. I also have the Mototola H300 which is clear but doesn't stay well on my ear. When fitted properly, the WEP 200 gives me the best call and I can't tell it's in my ear because it's so comfortable. It will work it's way out, so I purchased the optional ear loop from samsung. With the added ear loop for secure facial connection, Think I can stop experimenting with other bluetooths.
Best I've used
User: Jack Graham, Dec 8, 2006
I went through several headsets in order to find one that sounded clear in a noisy, computer datacenter. This one has been the best for me in these conditions, with no complaints from customers regarding background noise. Plus I can hear them on this headset as well as if I were holding the phone to my head.
I have never ran out of battery power, but this is the one weakness I find with this headset. For a phone call power user, the 4 hours rated talk time may not be enough.
Great Product! Don
User: Fern Vala, Dec 18, 2006
i purchase on ebay and got scammed with a knock off. the thing looked damn near identicle to the real thing. Purchased the real one at a retail store and love everything about it. sound quality is great. range is outstanding. i love the size. very recomended.
Good and bad
User: David N, Feb 14, 2007
Pros: Small size & light weight
Cons: falls out of your ear
I have to say that the sound quality was good and pairing with my Treo was not a problem; however, I could not get this ear piece to stay in my ear. I tried positioning it every which way, but would always end up falling out.

I will say that the service from Treocentral was great and very quick response. I would not ever get this earpiece again, but I would definitely do more business with Treocentral!
Doesn't fit to ear
User: Scott Squires, Feb 23, 2007
Pros: Good sound quality, works
Cons: Need to buy other things to hold to your ear
I'm now on my 2nd WEP200 and to be honest I probably wouldn't buy another one. It works fine but the whole attaching to the ear part is a problem.
The ear holders that come with it sort of work. Unfortuantely if you move much there's a danger of the headset falling out and being lost.

I bought Jabra ear gel and those fit. The ear piece stuck out but not a major problem. Unfortuantely every night when you charge it you have to take the gel off to place it in hte special case adapter. Note they carry these at Radio Shack in the San Francisco area but none of the Radio Shacks in LA seem to carry them. Also note that Verizon (in LA) stores only carry the min-gels. These don't fit.

I lost the first headset when I had to take remove a jacket. Even with the Jabra ear gel it was so light weight I didn't notice it until later.

Ordered the Jabra ear clip for my next one. Problem is you have to bend it a lot to get tighter to the ear and even then it's not making good contact with the ear for the best volume.

At the end of the day you need the ear gel and the ear hook if you're active and want to avoid losing it. You also have to remove these every time you charge it and then put them back on before using.

I'd probably go with Motorola H700 if I had to get a new headset today. Self contained.
Poor functionality
User: W Keller, Mar 6, 2007
Pros: Compact, beautiful design
Cons: Doesn't operate correctly
I bought this headset from another site a few months ago. I was accidentally shipped two by the company.

The first set I tried worked great, or so I thought. Soon people on the other end were complaining of echoing. The problem seemed to come and go, but at times was so bad that callers on the other end could not carry on a conversation because of the feedback of their own voice.

The second set seems to have less echo, but it doesn't fit properly into the charger. So now I can't recharge the battery at all. It's odd--the connections aren't damaged and the first headset charges in both chargers, but the second headset fits poorly into the charger and I can't get the proper fit for the device to charge anymore.

So I switched back to the first headset and am dealing with the echoes all over again. I'm looking for another bluetooth set. Other people have had better success with this one. Could it just be that I've been incredibly unlucky?
