Great design / Good Sound Qualtiy
User: Stephen Mouton, Apr 4, 2007
Pros: Great aesthetics with multiple charging options included
Cons: snap together feature takes some practice
I like the plantronics blue tooth ear phone with my Treo 680. It has three silicon ear piece sizes to make sure the fit is comfortable and tight dpending on the size of your ears. The tight fit prevents much outside noise from entering. The silicon ear pieces keep the unit in the ear comfortably and securely. There is an optional clip to secure it to the ear, although it isn't necessary and it can be adjusted for left ear or right ear use. The unit is designed to slip into a pen-like device that can be carried in a coat pocket or clipped to a shirt. It includes several charging devices: a snap on charger for a AA battery that slips into the pen device holder, a usb connector to charge from a computer and a regular a/c charger. I'm quite pleased with the purchase.
Great for the price
User: Mdot M, Aug 11, 2008
Pros: Comfortable, responsive, charging options a plus
Cons: Wish battery lasted longer
Ive had about 4 bluetooth headsets before this one and so far it is the most comfortable Ive worn. If you got the cash to plunk down the same money you would spend on a phone on a Jawbone which performs just a little better, be my guest.

Dont pay attention to palms or plantronics website, this is fully compatible with your Treo/Centro.

The battery is nothing to write home about, but its very close to the advertised 3.5 hours.
Good BT...Not so much with treo
User: Tim M, May 26, 2007
Pros: good sound, light wieght, multiple charging options
Cons: not a good match with treo
I bought my 665 from a retail store in case of any need to return the product. It worked ok with my 650 but still had a static issue as with all the other BT devices I used. I have been using it with my Moto Krazer and it is flawless. Everyone says it sounds great and it is super clear on my end. After letting a friend pair it with the 750p, I have decided nothing works well with the treo. I blame the poor performance on the treo and not on the device. I highly recommend the 665 for any phone other than treo. It is super light wieght and and extremely comfortable.
my review
User: brenda kulltila, Jul 1, 2007
Pros: small and lightweight, comfortable
Cons: windnoise
seems like only the iconic jawbone is most effective at wind noise reduction. i like the 665 otherwise, in everyway, except wind noise. i of course admit that the jawbone drowns out more (non wind) background noise -- but the 665 is more confortable, lighter, easier to pocket, and does an adequate job of normal (non wind) background noise. also has several accessories available, as all 655 tubes including the AA battery and a/c adapter will it the 665 tube. a nice device.
would not recommend
User: k hargis, Dec 31, 2007
Pros: good sound quality
Cons: talk time is no where near 3.5 hours
It is very hard to keep paired. Talk time is too short. Maybe lasted an hour after charging all night.
poor performance
User: Marshall Lauer, Mar 9, 2007
Pros: small and can hear other person
Cons: poor performance: fit, battery and voice
I expected a lot from this after the writeups and reviews but it absolutely fails to perform. When it would bind with my Treo 700P, and the battery wasn't dying, no one could hear me unless it was dead silence and I spoke very loudly. I had expectations of being able to use this in a noisey environment and it fell flat. I just replaced this with a Motorola H700 and it is dramatically better.
The Plantronics 665 is a no go for my 700p
User: Brian DeCarlo, Apr 25, 2007
Pros: small, great fit, comfortable, good looking
Cons: short talk time compared to other comparable BT headsets
I bought the 665 from a brick & motar store feeling this was my best bet in case of a return. Despite other users saying the charging options did not include an AC adapter, mine did.

It was a breeze to set up the 665 and it was recognized by the 700p quickly but that is where the joy stopped. I made my first call and was appalled by the amount of static from the incoming signal. I went outside thinking maybe my wireless network was causing some interference but still static after moving about 100 feet away.

I wanted to give it a fair shake so I used it at work, in the car, at the store and gave it a chance to behave. There were times when the 665 did sound crystal clear, just not for more than 10 seconds when my 700p is at arms length but ther clarity would last for maybe 10 seconds or until I move my head.

My callers complained of garbled speech and their transmission kept cutting in and out. After almost a week of trials I am convinced this is not the headset for me. Surprise surprise, the 665 does not play nice with my 700p powered by Verizon. This is going back to the store and I am going to try the Moto H700 next. To bad I really liked the feel of this headset.
665 will not stay paired with my 700p
User: Steve Draper, Aug 30, 2007
This is the second wireless I have purchased from the Verizon store for my 700p.
Both have been disappointments. The second purchase, the Plantronics 665 is particularly frustrating since the Verizfon staff assured me that this works very well with 700p.
It does not. The device works inconsistently and frequently stops working without warning. I
Bad Choice for 700P
User: Les Yosek, Apr 17, 2007
Pros: Good looking, small, light weight
Cons: Does not work with 700P
I don't understand why this is listed as a working headset with the 700P. It will not stay paired, will not connect most of the time even when it is paired. Wrote to Plantronics and they said that none of their headsets work with the 700P! Why is this listed on TreoCentral as a working headset with this phone? I had a Plantronics 640 that worked great with my 650 but I wore it out. Had high hopes for this one, maybe it works with other phones, but avoid it for the 700P.
Doesnt work with my Treo 700p
User: Dave Flynn, Dec 9, 2007
Pros: Love the look and feel as well as the charging options
Cons: DOESNT work with my Treo 700p
I was at BestBuy the other day and decided before I get in a car accident I should buy myself a Bluetooth Headset. The 665 looked exactly like what I was looking for. It had many charging options, seemed like it was a no brainer to use, good looking and light weight. After I had charged it up, I began the pairing process which was a piece of cake. Thats when the pleasantries ended and my blood pressure started to rise. I tried to make a call and it never switched the call over to the headset. I thought maybe it was something I wasnt doing right when making the call, so I had a friend call me and the same thing happen. I figured I must be doing something wrong so I decided to wait until I got back home to look into it a little bit further. When I did, I noticed that it wasnt still paired, so I did it again. To make a long story short, I went back to BestBuy and exchanged it, figuring the one I had gotten was defective. Now Ive got a second one and it still doesnt work... It says right on the box that it "Easily Connects with Bluetooth Phones". Well, thats just an out-right lie. Ive sent Plantronics customer support an email looking for some answers, but I have a feeling that the only thing that Ill be able to do is to go back to BestBuy and get something different. :-( I hope this review helps you Treo 700p owner, before making the same mistake I made.
