Initially (one call), the 655 appeared to work with no problem(s) with my Treo 700w; however, that is not the case. Later, I attempted to make a call and the headset did not work. I called Plantronics for tech support, and I was told that the Treo 700 series is not compatible with their 655 bluetooth headset. If you go to Plantronics website, you'll see that it is not in their compatibility list.

Pros: easy to pair, charging system is handy
Cons: Horrible, horrible sound quality!!!! Cant turn off the blinking light
I got this BT headset when I upgraded to a Treo 750. It was a breeze setting up and pairing with the Treo. I also like the option of having the emergency charging system as a back up. The idea of a sleeve appealed to me also.

I used it and I have had just about everybody I talked to tell me that they have a hard time hearing me cause of all the background noise. About the only time I have had people tell me it they can hear me well is when I am in a quiet room but then they still hear me moving or rustling around. So much for the DSP technology. And a last quibble is that you cant turn off the blinking light...minor irritation but still an irritation.

Pros: Nice size, very comfortable
Cons: poor bluetooth range, crackly, poor sound quality at receiver end
Everything about this headset is great - except its operation.

I have had two of these. neither had acceptable sound quality - much crackling, much dropped audio etc... The first unit that I had quit working completely - the button was ineffective so you couldn't turn it off or on or anything.

Both have lots of crackling over the headset.

I have used this with my Treo 650 and have had problems. I use also a Sony Ericsson that has no such issues and sounds great.

I also paired the Plantronics unit with my wife's Motorola Razr cell phone. It has problems there too - the Razr will come back and say that "bluetooth connection is weak." I presume that this means that the bluetooth RF out of the headset is substandard.

Some have raved about theses. I suppose there are good and bad units. Users should be careful to test their units and make sure that they are a good one because it sure seems like there are a number of bad ones out there.
