TreoCentral Expert Review

TC Review: Palm Hybrid Headset
Reviewed by Jay Gross
The Palm Hybrid Headset/Headphones is a generally well thought-out product that comes at a very reasonable price. Tame its cord, somehow, and enjoy quality audio in your ears with little ambient noise to intrude. For phone calls, however, its mic won't win any awards for clarity.

StarStarStarStarStar Works well a Stereo Head Phone for Treo
User: Samuel Turner, Jul 30, 2007

Pros:  No batteries needed! Simple and clear function
Cons:  -

Sound quality is good. I use it on Treadmill or Elyptical for music or streaming TV. It works well. The occasional call comming in, it works well too. Fine for use when listening in on conference calls.
StarStarStarStarStar Great sound, weak cabling
User: Jeff Scott, Jan 7, 2010

Pros:  amazing sound
Cons:  long cable, weak connection to switch

This headset provides the best sound I have ever heard from a headset, including professional headsets. However, there are a couple of drawbacks to it. One, it has a cable that tangles easily. That would not be a problem, except that too much tension on the cable can pull or break the wiring to the speakers. The connector holding the wiring in the volume/microphone/answer switch housing is very weak and damage-prone. Control the cables or it will almost certainly break after a few months use.
StarStarStarStarStar Beware the Jack!
User: Don Bailey, Jan 11, 2007

Pros:  Works
Cons:  Breaks

The jack that plugs into the phone bent on my first day of use. It appears that it cannot take any torque at all. If you want to use this item, be sure there is a way to carry the phone such that the headphone jack does not come into contact with anything that could apply pressure to it.
StarStarStarStarStar Beaks easily
User: Ted Bobak, Oct 16, 2006

Pros:  good price
Cons:  cheap and rips very easily especially around microphone

It's a good price but not worth it because you will have to buy another set of headphones after these fall apart! The ear piece deseign is very bad because the earbuds don't want to stay in your ears.
