Good product for getting around
User: Fern Nemenyi, Feb 22, 2007
Pros: Works as billed. New mount great improvement. Updated SD card
Cons: Not totally accurate; street names would have made up for that.
Seems to be a really good app. I am trying to figure out bluetooth with it. I don't have to delete my other bluetooth setups but bluetooth is on all the time now. I can't answer a phone call to my ear without cancelling the bluetooth headset icon. But not a deal breaker, just requires getting used to its ideosyncracies. Maps on the SD card have been updated to TomTom's newest 6.03 so no new update is required. The new mount works well also. It's really a good package for getting into GPS ... although it really doesn't compare with the Nuvi 360 my husband has. But it is quite good and useful in what it does do and it is easy to set up and navigate.
Good product but needs a fix for BT
User: Richard Lepine, Feb 17, 2007
Pros: Addressbook entries, easy to use.
Cons: Takes over your Bluetotoh!!
I very much like this product but they need to fix the fact that it takes over the BT on your Treo. You will have to delete all other bluetooth set-ups in your phone. TomTom has to do something to fix this very annoying problem....
Difficult time getting the GPS to link with 700wx
User: jim jim, Jun 15, 2008
Pros: Nice integration of product
Cons: Damn thing wont connect half the time
I really like the product concept, and the TomTom interface in the mobile phone edition is consistent with the interface in the standalone units. It is simple for travel not to take extra hardware, so I can travel light. The only thing you have to do is plug in the included SD card and you have the small grey cube that connects with bluetooth. When you plug in the card and turn on the cube, the software comes up, finds the gps, and you are good to go.

In theory at least. However, the TREO doesnt seem to "SEE" the TomTom palm unit most of the time, which is very annoying while driving. I have to troubleshoot, and do different combinations of powering down and reseting things (even pulling out and replacing the battery), going through the bluetooth network settings and trying to force rediscovery, etc. It is such a royal pain in the ass. On my last trip to find a remote resort in the middle of the night in the mountains in Nevada, my TomTom wouldnt come to live until the final 10 minutes of a 70min drive ("you have arrived at your destination" --- Gee T-H-A-N-K-S TomTom). It is really getting to the point that I am going to buy a dedicated GPS unit.
Product does not work
User: Ruben Ortiz, Sep 23, 2007
Pros: None
Cons: Not compatible with the 700p
I purchased the expensive product, but it doesnt work. I was forced to return two(2) of them. Do not purchase! Too many problems. The SD card states it is incompatible. A big waste of money!
Tomtom NOT compatible with Treo 700W
User: Heather Krausse, Jan 5, 2008
Pros: Looks like it could be a good program if it didnt crash my phone
Cons: It crashes my phone constantly--very frustrating!
The Treo phone is great without the TomTom installed. The Tomtom navigator looks to be a good product except when integrated with the Treo700W. Do NOT mix! They are completely incompatible. I even replaced my new phone thinking it was problem with the phone, but then had all the same problems with settings changing themselves, numerour random quirks and crashes on the phone, hundreds of "restarts" work very temporarily.

I bought this Pam Tomtom Navigator because it said it was made specifically for the Treo 700W.
