Very Clear Sound
User: Becky Thomas, Nov 15, 2007
Pros:
Magnetic Visor Attachment
Cons:
-
I asked for this as a birthday gift and so glad I did! It paired very easily with my Palm Treo 700 on the first try. I let it charge in the car overnight and it was ready to go in the morning. Everyone Ive asked says the sound is very clear - better than with an ear-type BlueTooth - and they say they dont hear a lot of exterior car noise. I dont have to yell to be heard and the sounds from the speaker are not garbled or grainy. I havent yet programmed the remote for speed dial because my speed dail numbers are programmed in on the phone. Once a call is dialed, it seems to pick up the signal within 1-2 seconds and I can hear the ringing through the speaker. Overall, Im thrilled with it!
Good concept but has problems
User: Victor Urbach, Jan 15, 2008
Pros:
Battery life, mounting flexibility, (the idea of) a keypad
Cons:
Keypad poorly executed, defective
This might be a good choice for other folks but I had trouble getting it to work properly with my Sprint Treo 755p (probably more the fault of the Treo than the Bluevision however). Nonetheless, I could not reach anyone at Mr. Handsfree. They dont publish a tech support number and my emails never received a reply. While the BVII would pair with the Treo and route inbound calls properly, it was impossible to use for outbound calling. May be a bluetooth compatibility problem, may be something else, but a Sprint phone tech rep support said the Bluevision was NOT compatible with the 755p. I didnt verify this but thats what she said. Im willing to give the BVII the benefit of the doubt and thats why I gave it three stars instead of two. A huge disappointment was the keypad. Thats why I ordered this unit. Unfortunately, its poorly executed. The buttons are hard to push, tactile feedback is iffy, and its IR-based, so must be pointed directly at the BVII to work. The [OK] button had problems too. It only worked intermittently. Since I was unable to reach Mr. Handsfree for support, I returned the BV II for refund and ordered the dedicated Seidio Treo car kit instead.
