Awesome Original Headset
User: john napoli, Dec 11, 2007
Pros:
Ease of use
Cons:
volume
I own this and love it. Wish it was a bit louder. Dont be fooled by buying an older version. There are different software updates on headset. In SMALL print on headset, it will say A B or AB. Latest version works much better than older with syncing. John
Not impressed
User: Sam Porter, Sep 12, 2007
Pros:
small, long battery life
Cons:
terrible microphone quality, works intermittently
This is the second bluetooth headset Ive purchased. It is small, comfortable and has good battery life. The speaker quality is generally good. The problem is that paired with the 650, it works about half the time. I constantly have to pair with the phone and people say they cant hear me well if even a small amount of background noise is present. The fact that it works intermittently is the most annoying. So, Im really surprised its rated as high as it is by others.
A Nice Headset (for the most part)
User: J.M. in Sarasota, Dec 23, 2006
Pros:
Stylish, Easy to use
Cons:
Loses the 650 after a while, at times hard to connect
This is my first bluetooth headset, and it is mainly due to this site that I chose the 700. When I first tried pairing it with my Treo 650 (Verizon), I had some difficulty. Whether this is due to the Treo 650 having bluetooth 1.0, I do not know. I eventually found if I held down the button as you would to reset the volume controls, the headset would go into pairing mode. I also have had to pair the set with the phone a few times and do notice the necessity for a close proximity of phone to headset, much closer than 30 feet! Try 30 inches!
My main problem is this; I wanted this headset for use in my truck, so I would not need to reach for the phone. After 30-45 minutes or so, the headset shuts off and does not pair with the phone. I then have to answer the phone itself. In our pampered age, this is oddly annoying.
If I am doing something wrong, someone please tell me. Otherwise, I am now very much looking forward to the 680 coming out with Verizon service.
Not for TREO 700wx
User: Doug McCall, Apr 24, 2007
Pros:
worked great with my PPC6700
Cons:
Does not work well with the TREO
Sprint advised me that the H700 would not work well with my new Treo 700W from Sprint. They were right, it would not connect and had static on the line most of the time.
