Product Description

With magnesium strength, optional built-in SD Storage, and a double-hinged cover, this Magnesium Case is the best hard case yet for Treo.

The case is made out of magnesium, which is both stronger and lighter then aluminum. The case has been precisely molded after the Treo to perfectly protect the device. The case features black magnesium on the outside, and a soft neoprene lining on the inside to cushion your Treo from impact shocks. With this case you can be confident that your Treo will be protected in even the harshest conditions.

On the back of the case you will find a removable belt clip, and as an option you can add two easily accessible yet secure SD Card holders. Simply insert the cards face up, and they will look into place until you remove them.

The Case also features a new double-hinge, so the cover can completely fold out of the way. Flipping open the cover panel gives you full access to your Treo, but you can manage calls and carry on a conversation with the case closed, thanks to the large plastic window and the navigation keys cut-out.

  • Magnesium protects your Treo
  • View the screen with the case closed
  • Use the navigation keys with the keys closed
  • Precision molded case to perfectly fit your Treo
  • Neoprene lining holds your Treo securely in place, protects it against drops, shocks and collisions.
  • Cutouts for all vital functions
  • Removable belt clip
  • Size: 117 x 68 x 34 mm

TC Review: MC6 Magnesium Case

If you hadn't noticed, I'm in love with this case and it will be my case of choice. Sleek matt black, super protection while all ports exposed, flexibility lightweight and a great price make this one a winner.

StarStarStarStarStar Great, tough case
User: Dan Swanson, Dec 16, 2006

Pros:  Extremely rugged but with good looks
Cons:  Hard to reach buttons through access opening on front

This is an excellent highly-protective case for a super price. I bought the SD-Card model for $29.99, about the price of a low-end leather case in many walk-in stores. I'm a very active "road-warrior" person and have deftly dropped my Treo in this case from my pocket, my car, my hands at waist level, etc..., and almost always onto pavement, concrete or tile! While the case now bears a few nicks and dings, the phone has never skipped a beat and looks like the day it was purchased. The case does what it claims - it PROTECTS your investment. The flip open top works great - the only drawback is that the access window on the front of it only allows control by "small" fingers! If the port could be expanded - even by 1/4" - it would make a huge difference.
StarStarStarStarStar Toughest Case to Protect your Investment
User: Marcus Floro, Nov 11, 2006

Pros:  Tough, Light, Face Plate Folds Out of the Way
Cons:  Weak Belt Clip. Scratches. No access toTouch Screen

I've had this item for about 3 months now and it has proven to be very tough. Dropped my phone many times and this thing did it's job. Yeah the case may get a few scratches here and there but as long as my treo is safe thats all that matters to me. (whats a few battle damage)

Also the inner lining of the case is most likely to absorb the impact of the fall. I wanted something rugged and able to keep my investment safe. This case ended my search. Definetly worth the $$$'s!

When using your "qwerty" the face plate folds all the way back and simply gets out of your way so there's no need to take your treo out of the case. However if you use your stylus at a regular basis be aware that the glass does not open separatly from the face plate. But I see that it's another way of protecting your screen. The least moving parts the better.

I was really pleased about my purchase and would definetly recommend to other treonauts out there.
StarStarStarStarStar Takes a hit and keeps on leaving
User: Bryan C, Jan 14, 2007

Pros:  Solid case, secure SD card storage, impact resistant
Cons:  Clip not robust

This thing excels at protecting your investment from dings and scratches. Just enough of the phone is exposed for simple navigation. The SD storage is what surprised me. With the phone carried on the hip both cards held secure when inserted and snapped in properly.

The only problem I had was with the clip. Over time it got worse and my phone dropped maybe ten times until finally the display failed. Wearing a phone of this size in this position and expecting trouble free performance from the belt clip maybe is for slim people. If you have any kind of belt over hang you might want to try a horizontal arrangement.

I'm still going to use this but I'll need to find another way to carry it.
StarStarStarStarStar Awesome with small flaws
User: Dan C., Jan 4, 2007

Pros:  Pretty much indestructible; superlight; well-designed
Cons:  Inner coating of neoprene slips all over the place; hinge is glued together

I love this case (from Smartphone Experts). I got mugged and fell on this case (I weigh 200 lbs) and have a pristine and uninjured Treo because of it. It's well designed, easy to open with one hand and my lips, but never comes open unless I want it to. And I always have all three of my SD cards.

Unfortunately, the neoprene on the inside, which makes it shock-absorbent, slips from its glued position and does things like obscure the camera hole, poke out of the case here and there, and generally degrade over time. Also, the case hinge is glued onto the back, and recently I broke the hinge by rolling over on it open.

Despite these flaws I love my magnesium case!

Pros:  Good looks light and strong
Cons:  witht he sd slots and screw the back does not fold up flat...

Just got this case. Hve not trioed the extra sd slots yet... the back does not fold flat if you have the sd slot model as it sits at an angle... the screw can potentially scratch the window...
