High capacity battery ... more ptunes, more tv episodes, more time to talk
Cons:
Large. Almost 1/2" is added to the width of the treo 650.
I'm happy to have a higher capacity battery. I can listen to music more when I'm working, take calls and route them through bluetooth & not worry about draining the battery.
It does fit (rather snuggly) in the leather palm holster (it's the horizontal one).
I don't like the fact that I have to take the battery door off & battery out to plug this into the cradle for my car. But I'm not about to stop using a $179 kit because of this. So long as I keep the car on, I won't lose my calls. That's the catch, when I stop the car, I have to tell the other end I have to hang up for a minute to get out of the car & put the battery back in.
I'm sure with some of the other cradles, ones that don't integrate with the car and have an external antenna pigtail, you'd be able to get away with it.
I still keep the original factory door & battery fully charged for emergencies.
I have yet to drain the battery to zero. I've come close. Between several 30 minute calls, 4 hours of internet radio, 2 episodes of LOST, and some MP3's in the car, I still had enough juice for a few other calls.
I wouldn't say it's money well spent, it is an expensive battery, but it is convenient to have a full day's worth of juice.
