Best so far
User: twitch 3, Dec 27, 2007
Pros:
Stays connected, very comfortable.
Cons:
Small amounts of static sometimes, could be a little louder
This is my favorite so far. Retired units: Moto H700, Jabra JX10, Palm Headset(The first one) SE HBH 610, Blueant Z9, Jawbone
This one stays connected better than any I have owned. Very comfortable to wear for long periods. The A2DP is really nice for long, boring engagements. No can tell you are listening to something else. I wish all BT manufacturers would learn from Spinal Tap and let the volume control go to 11.
Excellent for music and voice

I am going from a Samsung WEP200 to this and for the last few days, I am very pleased. The BT8040 is louder than the wep200, which was one of my biggest complaints cause in the car, I could not hear the other side unless I pressed the WEP200 into my ear. The BT8040 does not have this issue and it is more comfortable to war to boot.
I use SAG to stream music and have the Petitelaunch program to toggle the BT stream on and off when I use Kinoma or Ptunes. After the music session, it takes a short time for the headset to repair and a couple of times I had to switch BT on and off on the Treo700P I have (post MR). As the other reviewer said, this is an excellent combo headset, small lightweight so I just toss it in my pocket.
My wife and best friend also both said it sounds better than the WEP200, louder and clearer, but still a slight echo/distance sound. This is while I use it in the car driving for comparison.
Best Bluetooth of all Ive owned so far
User: David Lerell, Jan 4, 2008
Pros:
small, stays in ear, great for listening to music and tv
Cons:
None
I have owned the Plantronics 655 and the motorola S9, and the Samsung SBH170(what a waste of money with the Samsung SBH170).
The Jabra BT8040 Bluetooth Headset stays in my ear, is low profile, i can listen to music without them cutting out. Just a nice headset. Im happy with them and i think you will be too.
Best BT headset yet!!
User: Barry Meeks, Sep 5, 2008
Pros:
easy pairing, great sound - both ways,
Cons:
none so far
I have had at least two dozen different BT headsets and this is by far the most trouble free and most comfortable one yet! The fact that it supports streaming audio is the cherry on top. Weight is good, and micro usb matches the charger on my phone too.
Returned because of delayed connections
User: Saul Kaplan, Oct 6, 2008
Pros:
volume, comfort, size, weight, USB charging
Cons:
sometimes poor connection time, lack of earhook
Generally a pretty good product. A friend who works for a major wireless company asked the Palm salesman for his opinion, and this was one he mentioned.
I had to finally return it, because about 30 of the time, the headset would not connect to the phone after the dialing sequence was finished. The Treo screen would say Active and the icon would show a bluetooth connection, but you could tell from the sounds in your ear (or lack of) that you were not connected.
