"Thank you very much. That is excellent service in a time when customer service is non existent in most companies. I will look forward to doing more business with you in the future"

Yes, I had great expectations for the Seidio charging cradle but after about 6 months of use I have experienced several shortcomings.
First, it is very difficult to seat the treo using only one hand. It needs more weight and the actual connector is hinged (for unknown reasons) so that it is a moving target; also, there is no hardward to guide the treo into the cradle. Can't remove it single handedly either.
Second, the softkey hotsync button on the front has shown wear and tear (literally a tear) and does not operate reliably.
Third, the connection does not always make a connection with the treo. Sometimes my PC will call it an unrecognized USB device and offer to help install it!. Other times, I have to prop the back of the cradle in just the right position so that the treo hangs forward on the hinged connector to get it to make the connection.
With that said, I still use the device. Probably because it was not cheap and does charge the treo and does its other functions reasonably well, some of the time. Would I buy another one to replace this one? No.
Stopped working after a year

I liked this cradle while it worked, but like another reviewer said, for $40 the unit should last more than a year. Better to get the $20 model twice. The sync button is what stopped working the unit could still charge my phone.
Overpriced and underengineered

Broke after ~1.5 years. A design flaw makes this pretty inevitable. Whenever you push the phone in to connect it, it actually puts all the pressure on the soldered connections inside! These will eventually break and require re-soldering. Also, the sync buttons resistance is created by attaching it with silicone so when that loosens you will be unable to use it to sync as you cannot depress the button. (it just recesses into the case but doesnt "click."
DO NOT BUY THIS CRADLE!!!!!

Pros:
Look nice, thats it!
Cons:
Unreliable, poor design, cheap Hotsync button.
It has never worked properly. I continue to get an "Unrecognized" error message with my Treo 700p. My Palm cradle worked perfectly on both my home and work computers. I bought this only because my new case does not fit in the Palm cradle. Seidio will not respond to my request for a refund. I have tried every fix found onthe Internet at a cost of hours of time devoted to this surprisingly terrible product. I say "surprisingly" because my prior experience with Seidio products and their customer service was extremely positive. They obviously know they have a problem with this cradle as they are not responding to me at all. DO NOT BUY THIS CRADLE!
Stopped working and Short warranty

Cons:
Poor Quality, Short 180 warranty
I had this unit for about 10 months and it stopped working. I called Seidio and they said tough, the warranty is 180 days. While the dock worked fine when it worked, a $40 product should last more than 10 months. Be careful when buying any Seidio product as all their warranties are only 180 days....apparently for good reason.
