Soft as butter leather over hard plastic makes up the holster and the case itself. In extrmely low reception areas case may lower reception. Just push phone slightly out of case and it works perfectly.
Phone is always protected by case or case and holster. Holster fits very close in toward you so it is very protected. Case can be sued without holster.
