I bought this with the sub woofer and it is awesome!
Sounds as good as your home stereo sound system.
Who needs an Ipod if you have Pocket Tunes and this system.
You can also answer calls while it's docked.
Works great with Treo 750

This is a great piece of hardware. I recently got a treo 750 - AT&T. All features work as mentioned for the CDMA phones. incoming call, music et al.
sound is very good, obviously will be better with a sub. very happy with the purchase nad yes i payed way less than $100

I really love this speaker system, but that's all it really is. It sounds pretty much like your average set of computer speakers. I don't have the subwoofer, but I imagine it would sound like computer speakers w/ a subwoofer!
If you have the money - get it - it is awesome to have, but I can't imagine why Altec doesn't offer it for under a $100.
As far as compatibility - GSM Treo 650s like the ones from Cingular and T-Mobile CAN use it!!! You just need Freedom from Toysoft (to redirect the audio to headset). It works great! That's what I'm using.
Oh, and I have a friend who uses a Treo 680 from Cingular and it works perfect w/o the need for any additional software!

I would love to buy this kind of product, but I am NOT with the two carriers listed. I can't understand what that has to do with using the speaker / microphone...
